Floorcraft - Sanding and Sealing
Sanding and Sealing

We also specialise in sanding and sealing your original wooden floor, we can resurrect pretty much any floor on matter how stained or sun bleached, with our sanding machines (most of which are 90% dust free).
How we do it
We will remove and dispose of all of your carpets, gripper rods and underlay. Then we will sand a small area of your floor to get some sanding dust, this is then mixed with a special solvent based glue, this creates a product called 'mix and fill'. It does exactly what it says on the tin, it fills all of the nail holes left by gripper rods, deep scratches or dents and, of course, any gaps between boards or parquet blocks. This is then left to dry for several hours, after this time we can then fully sand your floor.
We work from 36 grit paper right down to 120 grit to archive a smooth, score mark free finish. This is also done around the edges of the room as well. The floor is then fully vacuumed so that it is free from dust. We then apply the finish you requested. For durability a lacquered finish is best, this applied in two coats to a bare floor, an oiled finish can also be applied. It is less expensive than the lacquered but will require yearly maintenance. We can also stain your floor any colour you wish. We can hard wax oil which is a more durable oil/wax finish which adds your desired stain at the same time.
Our charges start from £17 per sqm for a basic sanding only and up to £25 per sqm for sanding and sealing with either lacquer or oil, Hard wax price available on application. Call us, we guarantee to beat any written quotation.

Floorcraft's Wood Flooring Sanding & Buffer Machines

The Bona Flexidrum Sander shares many features with Bona Belt, this is a highly effective machine for sanding all types of timber floors. A unique, patented drum construction allows abrasives to be changed quickly and effortlessly. Being slightly smaller than the Bona Belt, this machine is even easier to control, and has the same precision drum lowering mechanism. The machine has excellent dust collection improving working conditions and is also simple to dismantle for easier transportation.

The Bona Mini Edge Sander is a smaller and lighter edge sander ideal for stairs, thresholds and other difficult areas. With adjustable, ergonomic handles it is easy to find a comfortable working position. A zipped dust bag makes emptying easier and a built in light helps in confined spaces. The machine comes with an attachment which can be fitted to make sanding stairs easier.

The Bona Buffer is a versatile floor buffing machine which has been adapted to meet the demands of the flooring contractor. Available in single or twin speed versions, both machines can be ordered as a kit with the Bona Suction Skirt and Bona S20 Vacuum Unit. The single speed machine is suitable for heavier sanding as well as cleaning etc. The twin speed machine (Bona Buffer Duo) is more suitable for light sanding as well as for use with the Bona Scrad System for abrading between lacquer coats or keying an existing surface. Both machines feature a fully adjustable handle and transport wheels.
