Wood Flooring
If you would like to enhance the look and value of your home then
solid wood flooring is a great way to do this. Besides being beautiful and hardwearing,
hardwood floors provide: timeless elegance, good thermal insulation,
long life expectancy, flexibility, easy to clean and comes in many
styles and finishes to suit almost any taste and circumstance.
Solid wood flooring comes in three main types:
strip flooring,
plank flooring and
parquet
flooring. All three are available in both an unfinished and a pre-finished
version. Unfinished flooring must be sanded on site after installation and sealed
and finished after installation. Pre-finished flooring is sanded and finished
at the factory (i.e. quicker installation).
Engineered wood flooring should not
be confused with laminate wood flooring. Engineered wood or
manufactured wood includes a range of derivative wood products which
are produced by adhering layers of birch ply veneer with
real wood,
to form composite materials. The main difference between engineered and
laminate flooring is that laminate flooring contains no actual wood.
All of the floors we supply come with a manufacturer's guarantee of
between 10 and 25 years, all our floors utilise timber from sustainable
managed sources (FSC), all our packaging waste is fully recycled.
We offer a 12 month fitting warranty from date of installation to cover
any defects arising from the fitting. This is backed up with full
public liability insurance covering all our staff.
